‘Ed’ventures at the Fringe – day two

Following this taxing hour of acting prowess our mood was lightened by a musical comedy curtsey of ‘4Tune’. ‘I love you, you’re perfect, now change’ is a 5*, sell out, warm hearted look at the dating game. With rousing numbers such as ‘A Stud and a Babe’ and ‘Single Man Drought’ this strong cast of five delighted the audience with their tangible energy whilst bringing a lump to my throat at their gentle portrayal of enduring martial love.

Comedy is rife at the Festival and the Pleasance Dome, the enviable Edinburgh Students Union, plays host to the ‘B.B.C Comedy Presents’ series. Compared energetically by the dazzling Brendon Burns we were treated to a veritable smorgasbord of comedic talent hailing from as far away as Devon. With topics ranging from whether you believe that you’re a shoe when you’re high, to crossing the road in Amsterdam ‘BBC presents’ provides belly laughs a-plenty, but is certainly not for the faint hearted. If you know what Spidermanning is, you’ll know what I mean.
